Hi, this is Shelly and Ryan Berg. We are good friends of the Hamre's. We are starting this GoFundme to help raise money for Jake, Max, Becky and Brock. The funds will go directly to the family to help with the Celebration of life and medical expenses.

Friends and family….

Reach deep and pray for our son Jake. Jake went into cardiac arrest Friday evening. His mitochondrial disorder can affect all organs including the heart. He was given CPR and regained a pulse and was transferred by ambulance to Mercy and now Children’s Minneapolis. We have been at Children’s Minneapolis since Friday night. He is in deep sedation while the brain heals. We are praying that it will heal back to its original condition but he does have some brain injury based on the CT scans. Jake is our everything and has so many people in his corner and we need you all now. Max is in good hands and has been here to see his brother. Thanks to everyone who has already reached out. We are doing our best to weather this storm but it is very tough to see him like this. For now we just need time to see if and how the brain can heal from this. Prayers up friends
