Hi, my name is Connie, and I am raising funds to help cover Jake’s top surgery costs. Jake is a 21 year old trans lad who is a trans son to me, and has been waiting for a decade for this moment.

Jake is one of many who have suffered due to access inequality for those living in rural areas to available and quality healthcare. He has also faced other adversities early in life, which have further disrupted his access to care.

This is essential healthcare which will drastically improve his quality of life. But he is currently facing years of large monthly repayments from having to access this surgery privately. And he would still have to wait for over 5 years on the NHS.

At 21, Jake is just graduating from university and is trying to get himself established. This financial burden will have a significant negative impact on most of his 20s. No one should start their adulthood mounted with big medical bills.
