Hi, my name is Hannah and this is my 5-year-old chihuahua named Jake.

If you all know me, I actually have two dogs & my dogs mean the absolute world to me. I would do anything for them if it meant they could live forever & not feel pain.

Jake was a super energetic and playful little guy until his knee started to cause him constant pain.

Even with rehab for strengthening unfortunately it didn’t do anything for him. We have been back and forth from the vet & rehab to avoid surgery at all costs and even tried supplements.

A little about Jake, Jake was a rescue from a friend. I got him around the age of one. He suffered from mange as a puppy as well as severe digestive issues.

Despite being such a little guy, he has some big problems.

2 years ago, Jake was diagnosed with a Luxating Patella. If you don’t know what that is, basically his knee isn’t staying in place where it should. His knee slides side to side, which means a brace won’t even help his situation.

I am now at a loss on what to do for him since he’s lost his spark, he lays around and he barely picks his head up to even go potty.

We have been given so many options and treatments, but costs are just so high it’s a struggle.

Jake needs to have a surgery that will cost roughly $5k and then followed with rehab.

We have an amazing vet and surgery team waiting for him and his recovery. We are going with Brush Run Vet and BluePearl.

As money is super tight and I’m truly heartbroken about this, I think this is the best option I have.
