Hello, my name is Dave Pepin. It is with the Highest Honor, and Greatest Sadness that I come to you asking on behalf of an Amazing and Loyal Friend for Help. My Dear Friend Jake Kossow and his Family has given me permission to share some Heartbreaking News. Jake Recently found out, and has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer and Stage 4 Liver Cancer, and unfortunately it has already started what we all Fear, Spreading to his Other Organs. A recent trip to Mayo Clinic has confirmed, that the Cancer has already started to spread now to his Lymph Nodes. Jake has A Scary and Tremendous Journey ahead of him. He is Currently receiving Chemotherapy Treatments at OSF in Escanaba, and will be taking numerous trips to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota for CT Scans and MRIs to Monitor the Growth and Spreading of his Cancer. It is disheartening to hear that Mayo Clinic has stated that there is not a surgery option to remove the Cancer, and will have to Rely Solely On Chemotherapy. Jake is trying his hardest to show the Greatest Strength and Courage through this Battle even after hearing From one Hospital stating he will have 6 to 9 Months to Live, and another Stating that with his current treatment plan, he can expect 2 to 3 years to Live if the Chemotherapy works. I cannot express how Proud I am of Jake with the amount of Courage he has to face this diagnosis and outcome. But my Heart is Breaking. Jakes journey through the remainder of his life will be difficult, and will bring many expenses. He is no longer able to work, and the Chemotherapy is already weighing heavily on his body and mind, not to mention his Children, Girlfriend Kiely Hughey, and Soon to be First Grandchild (Jake is Going to be a Papa)!
