Jake's Eagle Project: Heart of Longmont AV Center

Hi, I am Jake Tomasko of Troop 64 in Longmont, Colorado. I am 14-years-old and have been involved with Scouts since I was in first grade. I am currently raising money for my Eagle Project, which will be to remodel the AV Center at the Heart of Longmont United Methodist Church. Troop 64 is Longmont's oldest Scout Troop, first chartered in 1921, and is sponsored by the Heart of Longmont Men's Club. I chose this project because I appreciate how much the church supports our Troop.

The AV Center remodel is an important project because it will direct parishioners away from the AV equipment and improve the overall aesthetic of the chapel. This is necessary because the existing AV area is not formally blocked off, church members who walk through the space are at risk of tripping over the equipment and cables, and they might accidentally interfere with the sound system of the chapel. Additionally, we plan to expand the existing space to include cabinets for equipment storage.

This GoFundME will raise money for the materials and supplies needed to build the walls around the AV Center and create an expanded work space and storage area. Thank you for your support!
