Jake Flint Brain injury - treatment of Hope

Donation protected
On Feb 4, 2018, Jake's life was permanently altered as a result of an ATV accident resulting in a traumatic brain injury and hemorrhagic stroke.  On Feb 4, God began a string of miracles and despite the odds, Jake has survived, but lives with significant impairment and disability, unable to work or drive. Jake walks with a distinct limp, uses his right arm about 5%, still struggles to be able to say his children's names upon request, and really struggles getting thoughts from his brain into words. Jake was given a work therapy trial run at LeCom Communications for a few months, but the evaluation showed him to be unable to make progress toward any employment opportunity at this time. The burden on the family, specifically Renee, and the kids (Jake, Jack, Julianna) is past words. They live exclusively on Social Security disability and medicaid. The medicaid only allocates 25 visits per year for traditional therapies (Speech, Occupational, and Physical).  These are typically used up within a month, leaving Jake for the rest of the year with no help to try to make progress. BUT THERE IS HOPE!
As well as continuing traditional therapies, and with the consultation of a neurologist, we have learned of some alternative treatments that offer real hope to move Jake along further, but more therapy and alternative therapies would involve self pay. The traditional therapies are $250 per session. At two times per week this equates to $1500 per week.  The two alternative treatments we are seeking exceed $10,000 each. We are seeking to raise $50,000 to launch Jake in hopes that he can get a license and return to meaningful work, providing for the family once again. We have set up a trust fund for Jake's medically related expenses, and If you are able to contribute please do so by clicking the DONATE NOW button below.  WE ARE THANKFUL IF YOU CAN SHARE THIS WITH AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE! We seek your prayers first and any financial help if you are able.  God bless you all.  We will keep you posted on the miracle to come!
