As some of you may know, my brother Jake was put on Hospice about a month ago. His fight with diabetes is coming to an end and his body can no longer take the damage. He has had multiple surgeries and has been in and out of the hospital for the past couple of years.
This has been a very difficult time for my family, and for Jake. Jake's health is drastically getting worse day by day and Hospice has told him that these signs and symptoms mean that the end is nearing. One of his last wishes was to get married. He even has a date scheduled, but we are not sure he will make it to the end of June. It's incredibly sad and I can't begin to express that pain that I feel for my brother right now.
I want Jake to have the funeral/memorial he deserves. Unfortunately, this was unexpected and financially my family is not prepared. Asking for assistance with these costs is not something I want to do, but it is the only way I see it happening. If you can give anything at all, we would appreciate it so much. I love Jake so much and I just want him to know that he is loved and cared about by so many.
Life truly is not fair sometimes. Period. Jake never had an opportunity to live a life without pain. He's suffered physically and mentally as a result for as long as I can remember. The last thing he should have to worry about is whether or not he will have a proper memorial.
If you give, thank you. If you can't, it's okay. If you've read this, I appreciate your time. And if you have lost a loved one, and you ever need to talk, I'm here.
Thank you all, and much love.
