As some of you know, my younger brother Jacob was in an accident on October 12th. While riding his bike, he was struck by a pick up truck. Jacob has many injuries to the left side of his body. A broken tibia, broken femoral head, dislocated hip, dislocated knee and more.

Jacob has a long road ahead and Jacob will be admitted into the hospital for the next few weeks while he receives multiple surgeries.

Jacob’s biggest worry at this point is his job and his portion of the bills and rent he shares with his roommate. This is something I, as an older sibling, do not want him to worry about.

If you know Jake, and his story, you know that he is so young and has been through so much in his life with a small support system. Young men don’t think about insurance and benefits until they have to. Jacob will have a hefty medical bill, be out of work for the next 10-12 weeks, and unable to go to his second story apartment.

Jacob would appreciate any support that comes his way. He is a great kid, he is a hard worker, and deserves all the kindness this world can offer him.
