Hello friends! This is Ruby, Jakes girlfriend coming here to ask you for your help. :) As many of you know on March 9th, two days before Jakes 30th birthday, Jake got into a bit of a snowboarding accident with a rail that lacked side panels. He almost completely tore his ACL, spraining his MCL, and creating a complicated bucket handle tear in his Meniscus. The time has come for him to get surgery to repair those tears. Unfortunately we have been constantly battling the Disability office and he has yet to see any money since his final week of working Park Staff at Bear Mountain. His parents and I have been doing our best to help support him but even with his insurance we still need at the very minimum $3k-$4k. He already has other medical bills stacked up from previous appointments. We know how expensive the world is right now so even if we don’t get to his goal we are just trying to raise as much as possible since every little bit helps. Depending on his progress and physical therapy we’re looking at him being out of commission somewhere from 6-9 months. The first couple of months of his recovery are going to be pretty draining mentally and physically as we live in a small mobile home with my family.
