Jake Oakes Family Support Fund

This is more of a prayer request than a donation request because we know nothing is impossible for God, but any support you could offer to this family would be much appreciated. Jake (married to my baby sister) is a devoted husband, fun and loving father, an EMT, retired firefighter, and also a cancer survivor fighting once again for his life. In 2020 at the age of only 32, Jake was shockingly diagnosed with colorectal cancer. After a year full of chemo treatments and surgeries, Jake was told he was cancer free. Along the way, Jake discovered that both he and his daughter Emma, and also probably Jake's dad who passed away from cancer when Jake was just 7, have a condition called Li-Fraumeni Syndrome.

Li-Fraumeni Syndrome (LFS) is a genetic disorder where the gene in your DNA that prevents malignant tumors from growing in the body is "broken". Jake gets full body scans yearly as a result of this condition, and this past December they found that the original type of colon cancer has spread to his lungs - it is stage 4. Jake has already started chemo, not sure what comes next but he'll be off work for a while again.

Please pray for the Oakes family, this is such a heart-wrenching situation, but we know all things work together for good and the glory of God. Please pray for physical and mental strength for Jake as he goes through this, and also for a miracle of complete healing.
