Jake needs housing to manage Long covid & Chiari
Donation protected
Jake is one of the participants for R50 Remission biome. Jake is all set to start the process, but unfortunately is without a permanent place to live as of a few days ago. Family doesn't understand why Jake is unable to function as a healthy individual and the expectations of participating in activities, walking a distance to move a car, and other activities that seem minimal to healthy individuals have caused disagreements that led to parents removing Jake from their home. Those of us with MECFS, long covid and all other co-conditions perfectly understand how these tasks that seem so simple to most people cause us to be debilitated for hours, weeks or months, but those who don't experience this think we can because don't always "look ill". Jake also has EDS, CCI - This is the third time in a year that Jake has been removed, but this time it was made clear that it is permanent as Jake is not able to meet the expectations of a "well-functioning adult" (because of multiple, complex, chronic illness)
The priority is to get Jake housing while exploring other alternatives that require a waiting list, and lots of documentation to get this done. Jake is in the NJ area, housing is expensive everywhere, but this should cover a shared dwelling in a covid cautious home for a few months, so that Jake can have a place to live, access basic needs and work on treating multiple conditions.
No amount of help is too small, please consider donating if you have the means. If all of our followers donated just $5, we can reach this goal for Jake immediately.
Thank you,
