About 14 years ago, two second graders faced each other on a wrestling mat, competing for the title of state champion. The match went to three overtimes, with both exhausted but neither willing to give up. What formed through that one day was a lifelong friendship and ongoing battle on the mat and on the baseball field (they never faced each other in football, but we know who won a championship there!).
Fast forward 14 years, and one of these young men, Jake Lober, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He is currently at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and is waiting for biopsy results to determine his treatment plan. Right now we know he will be at Dartmouth for the next 30 days! Jake is a strong kid! This will be a lengthy battle, and he will need all the positive support we can give! The money is for Jake’s benefit to help with medical expenses that aren’t covered, incidental expenses, and to cover his bills until he can get back on his feet. No one should have to worry about covering expenses while undergoing this with their child. Please consider a donation to support this young man.
