In Memory Of Jake Lewis Kenny

On the 24th June last year we lost our beautiful boy Jake Kenny. While out for a run, which Jake and his friend were training to complete a half marathon, Jake suddenly collapsed and tragically could not be saved. He had not been ill, or had any illness or any condition that would make his heart suddenly stop. He was a loved son, brother to us all and is greatly missed. We still have no answers why Jake was taken from us and want to raise money for a charity close to our hearts. The CRY charity which raises awareness of potentially life threatening cardiac abnormalities in young people and to promote screenings. CRY visit schools across the country and carry out heart ECG's and Echo's to diagnose any cardiac abnormalities in children. CRY also offers support to families who have experienced the tragic death of a young individual due to cardiac condition.

A close family friend, Josh Heydon, has kindly offered to run the Bath Half Marathon on Sunday the 16th March 2025 to help raise money for the CRY charity as well spread awareness. Although it is only a couple of weeks away, were hoping to raise as much money for this charity as possible as they truly are amazing in the work they do.

We are so thankful for everyone's continued support over the past 8 months. We are hoping to reach our target and kindly ask all of our lovely friends and family to join us with supporting Josh's marathon by donating what they can to CRY.
We deeply feel this celebrates Jake's aspirations he wanted to achieve and we thank Josh for running this for Jake.

Below is a message in which the CRY Charity share automatically to those fundraising for them. Please read if your looking to find out more about the CRY charity.

I'm raising money in aid of Cardiac Risk in the Young and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us. More information about Cardiac Risk in the Young: Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) was established in 1995 to prevent young sudden cardiac deaths (YSCD, SADS) through awareness, screening and research; and to support affected families. CRY funds fast-track services at the CRY Centre for Inherited Cardiovascular Conditions and Sports Cardiology and the CRY Centre for Cardiac Pathology.
