Hi,

Our names are Dick and Joanne Hill. We are lifelong friends of the Jacobs family and are setting up this Go Fund Me account to help support Jake’s daughter.

Jake passed away this August, leaving his 8-year old daughter Suni. An extraordinary soldier, Jake was dedicated to serving his country. He received numerous awards and commendations, most notably the Bronze Star. During his service in Iraq and Afghanistan, Jake proved himself a great leader, friend and mentor of young men and women.

Perhaps if Jake could tell you what he was most proud of, he would say Suni.

To everyone who saw them together over the past eight years, it was clear that she was the love of his life. He was a devoted father, eager and committed to raising his daughter. Thanks to Jake, Suni is a bright and fun-loving 8-year old girl.

For much of Suni’s life, Jake was a single parent. When Jake passed away, his retired mother, Sue, became the sole guardian for her granddaughter.

Now Sue needs your help to secure Suni's future, so that she can raise her to have all of the possibilities in life that Jake dreamed of creating for his daughter.

We ask for your donations to support Sue in providing for Suni’s care and to open up possibilities for her future education. In honor of Jake, please help us achieve our goal by contributing to the Jake Jacobs Memorial and Support Fund.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 6 at 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church, 310 W. 11th Street. There will be a reception at the church in Booth Hall after the service.
