This summer Jake had a cancerous tumor removed from his shin and has been healing from that surgery. He has been able to return to school and getting back to normal. While conducting the biopsy of that tumor and the bone that was removed during the procedure, his Cancer Medical team discovered that Jake has a 2nd, very serious form of bone cancer.

In order to respect Jake's privacy I am not going to go into detail about his diagnosis.  I will tell you what he and his mom are facing. Over the next 6 months, Alyson and Jake will spend 3-5 days every other week in Dell Children's Hospital, where he will undergo intensive chemo therapy. Alyson is a single mom, who will be attempting to hold down her full time job, while caring for Jake with the help of her parents and friends.
