In memory of Jake Hieu Quoc Nguyen

On Thursday, September 4, 2025 around 11pm, our brother went to meet Jesus. While tragic and sudden, we know that Jake is now in a better place. We were informed by authorities that our brother was heinously shot while he was unarmed and defenseless. His body was left in the street and was discovered by someone who called authorities. There is now an active homicide case to investigate the details of this night. We are deeply saddened by this loss, we hope that there will be justice here on earth, while his soul rests in eternal peace.

Those who knew Jake could say that he was such an easy going guy, and always came through when needed. Our family will remember him as a hero in many ways and his legacy will live on through those who knew of his quiet but ventureful nature.

Jake was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. After his service in the Marine Corps, he moved back home and took on caring for his mom and sisters. He truly embodied the cores of dedication and loyalty as he would sacrifice his time and resources to help anyone in need. Semper Fi

While he worked, his family was able to make ends meet. With this tragic incident, his mom and siblings are now left in a difficult financial situation. We are asking for any contributions to help cover the cost of the funeral as they navigate these troubled times. Graciously, the VA will be able to cover some of the burial costs, but any donations made will be given directly to the family and put toward the funeral service. Any gift is appreciated.
