In honor of Jake Heselton's Memory

Hi Everyone,

My name is Cathy and I am a good friend of Miranda (Knepp) and Jake Heselton. About 3 weeks ago, Jake started complaining of a shortness of breath and a backache. When he went to the doctor for a check-up, they discovered that he had aggressive lung cancer. He started chemotherapy last week, but unfortunately, he lost his fight against cancer and passed away earlier this week on Tuesday. It was incredibly fast and his wife Miranda and their daughter Jordan (8 yr old) are still reeling from the shock of it all.

Jake was the great mediator in their family, acting as the safe place for both Miranda and Jordan. He and Miranda have been together for 27 years and were looking forward to Jordan's first trip to Disneyland later this year with Miranda's folks. Jake loved Miranda with his whole heart and was so proud of Jordan, always saying that she would change the world...Miranda shared a story with me that yesterday, when Jordan was asked by her teacher at school what the class could do to help her with the death of her daddy. She replied, "Just be kind." - Jake must be smiling down at her. He will be incredibly missed.

I have put together this go fund me as a way to let all of their friends from both present and past know about Jake's passing and in lieu of flowers, if you wish and are able, please consider contributing a small amount, it would be a tremendous help to Miranda right now. It will help her with the medical and funeral costs and any extra will go towards Jordan's education.
