UPDATE 3/21/23

Thanks to all who have so generously given to this campaign. You are all appreciated so much. Many have given multiple times. Looks like best case scenario is opening this coming Tuesday. The repairs took a turn for the worse when removing cabinets exposed more damage. Having to keep a clean and fully repaired area, it has taken more time AND money. We’re a tad over $13k now. I’d love to have one last push and make it to the goal of $15,000 this week. Please share!

UPDATE 3/15/23

The punches keep coming! I’m sorry to update you with this, but as of today there is STILL no opening in sight. They need us. I can’t say thank you enough to all the people who have so graciously given their support. It means the world to Jake and Vanessa. They’ve communicated to me several times at how much this means to them and how it’s helped. I updated the goal to $15,000 now. We’re heading into week 4 of being shut down and the devastation that it has caused is mind-blowing. Please share this with your people and let’s see if we can help assure the community that Kraemers Koffee Bistro will make it through.

Hi, my name is Scott Gieser and I am starting this go fund me to help my good friends Jake and Vanessa Herbert. Jake and Vanessa are the owners of Kraemers Koffee Bistro in Riverside California located in the Brockton Arcade. Kraemers is an amazing community coffee shop. Tons of regulars, and a tightknit group. Jake and Vanessa have made it their goal to make everyone feel welcomed and comfortable. They work incredibly hard to provide a great spot and an amazing location. On Saturday, February 25 during the lunch rush some water started coming in through the floor drain. Not thinking anything major it was cleaned up and someone was called. The initial report was something was clogged in the building somewhere and it would be fixed quickly. Well, “quickly“ turn into “a few days“. And then turned into hopefully next week… It now has turned into will get it as soon as we can. Turns out the sewer line that fed the building had major damage and needed to be dug up and repaired. As of this writing, they were supposed to be open within a day or so and now it looks like it may be another week. As you know, closing the shop like this for a few days could be a very big deal for the owners. Closing for a week could be detrimental. Closing for multiple weeks could be catastrophic and we could lose Kraemers altogether. Please consider donating to help these wonderful people stay afloat during this crazy time.
