Jake (and Caregiver Matt) Dream Journalism Club Trip to NYC

JAKE BRANAN AND (CAREGIVER) MATT PITCHER ARE HEADING TO NYC FOR HONORS JOURNALISM CLUB!
As a Sports Media Major (Junior) at UGA, Jake Branan has been chosen to go on a GREAT team trip with his honors journalism club in February. Being disabled, he needs his caregiver with him- so we have to pay for two. Without Matt, he wouldn't be able to go. Situations others don't need to think about are just a part of the challenges Jake faces, and we've always believed that, despite being disabled, his life should be as full of adventure and as fulfilling as possible as anyone else's within the confines of that disability, societal or otherwise. He may not be able to do a lot of things for himself, but he's smarter than I could ever wish to be, and that's worth our lifelong efforts to allow him to live fully. He works so hard to fit in and be able to participate in as much as life has to offer as he can. This is one of those opportunities.
Airfare, hotel and meals X2 need to be covered, plus transportation that can support his wheelchair needs to get around and be able to enjoy everything with the other 19 fellow journalism students. Tours of CNN and the New York Times have been arranged, plus a few other journalism-centric activities, in addition to the wonders of NYC itself and all it has to offer. You should have heard him whoop!!! when he got the e-mail saying he'd been chosen. He doesn't get to do this kind of stuff often. And to go without Mom or Dad? That's the life!
Anything you can do to help cover these expenses for this trip would be amazing.
