On Friday December 10, Jake was unfortunately hospitalized for complications related to COVID. His situation has progressively gotten more severe. This morning Breanne noticed extreme swelling in Jake’s chest and neck and quickly called for help. After a chest x-ray his medical team decided to intubate and transfer him to a higher level of ICU care. He has been life-lighted to Intermountain Hospital due to pneumomediastinum. This means he has holes in his lungs that the air escapes from and collects in his chest. Jake is in critical condition.

Breanne is spending her time at Jake’s side making sure he gets good care. Because of this, neither she or Jake have worked for the last 10 days. They are very dedicated parents and have 3 young children to worry about as well. They need Jake! The care Jake is getting is extremely expensive. The last thing Breanne needs to worry about is paying for all these medical bills on top of everything else.
