My name is Ben Rogers. I work at Busbridge Church, part of the wider Godalming Minster.

Our Church Tower has recently started undergoing some major renovation work. Squirrels and pigeons have caused damage to both the exterior and interior of the Spire.

A total of approximately £70,00 is needed for this project.

To help raise money for this renovation, I have decided to do a sponsored walk on the 19th and 20th June.

The walk will start in Brighton. I plan to walk along the coast to Shoreham where I will join the South Downs Link. This marked route will take me to Bramley, from where I will then walk to Busbridge Church.

The challnege is 37 miles long, which will take me around 14 hours to complete and will be undertaken barefoot.

Being barefoot, whilst out embraced by nature, helps me to feel more grounded, both mentally and physically. It slows down my walking pace, which slows down my mind, helping me to think more clearly and feel closer to God.
