We are a group of 60 people from Austin to India allied with Jains of SATI to coordinate Oxygen cylinders, hospital beds, ventilators and Remedisivir for patients in need in India. Contributions are being distributed directly to patients.

Our group is a purely volunteer collection of individuals. 100% of your donations are going back to patients in need. We have no overhead. We have no salaries. 

Why we need to act now:

India is reeling under a shortage of oxygen supply and the situation is worsening with each passing hour. There is an acute shortage of hospital beds, meaning a majority of the patients are self-treating at home and in dire need of Oxygen supply. Hosptial wait lists are so long that patients know that the chances of them being treated at a hospital are minuscule. The problem with home treatment is that there is almost no availability of oxygen cylinders or concentrators for people who want to use one. People are dying waiting for a hospital bed with oxygen. Signs showing the absolute lack of oxygen are posted outside hospitals. Patients are being discharged from hospitals while they are still in an acute state because hospitals are running out of oxygen overnight. It's an impossible and heartbreaking situation for those suffering and their families. This is a time for everyone to come together and help stop unnecessary suffering.

The need of the hour is to ensure that we augment the oxygen supply and medical infrastructure to resuscitate India. People can survive and recover from covid if they can get access to oxygen during the acute phase. 

How We Will Provide Oxygen to those who are in need:

We will be sending oxygen concentrators and other medical equipment to India as needed. The oxygen concentrators are being purchased in the USA from reputed companies. An average 5L/10L concentrator has a lifespan of 25K hours; it will be used on an average for 5 days per patient. Each concentrator will be able to serve at least 200 people in its lifetime.

Hence, this is a more impactful and efficient substitute for oxygen cylinders which require constant refilling coupled with multiple logistical challenges.

Our oxygen concentrators are being distributed not to the government or hospitals but directly to the patients for five days of use during the acute phase. Volunteers collect the devices and redistribute them to others in need after that time.
