Hello friends and family of Jaimee,
This post is to share some updates of Jaimee from this past week. Sunday (1/31/2021) evening Jaimee was found unconscious and unresponsive. Thankfully she was able to be waken and taken to the hospital where she has been since. Not exactly knowing what was going on she has had many many test and exams done. The conclusion so far is that Jaimee's heart is in stage 1 of transplant rejection. This stage can usually be helped with medication. She has received immunoglobulin through her blood which will help with the rejection along with additional anti-rejection meds, diuretics, and the ever lovely steroids. She has been having episodes of very high heart rate and very low heart rate. An ablation was done to try and fix the abnormal rhythm where an internal heart monitor was placed as well. Unfortunately, early this morning she passed out again and is now in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at Sacred Heart Hospital. Her doctors are trying hard to figure out why this is happening.
So what are the next steps? Her care is being taken day by day with hopes that tomorrow she will have a pacemaker placed. With all this being said, it is unclear at this time what exactly her road to recovery looks like. What is going on with Jaimee has been very sudden, very scary, and very serious.
I have made this GoFundMe for her as Jaimee will not be able to work or pay her bills right now. Any share or donation will be so greatly appreciated. She should not have to worry about money during such a scary time.
