This past week we lost our dear father/father-in-law/grandfather, Jaime Macaspac. 4-5 years ago, he started his journey to finally reunite with family members he hasn't seen in 16 years. His family in America had the same wishes and together started with his petition and travel. On September 2022, he finally arrived in America, but with some unknown health conditions.

We noticed his health was slowly degrading so we started medical appointments to find out what it could be. Through all the medical tests, we found out that he had lung and brain cancer. He had no health insurance and was denied at all attempts that were made. But with the help of all doctors and nurses involved, financial assistance, and Cost Plus Drugs for his medications, we were able to remove the brain cancer and battle his lung cancer. He told us not to worry, he has accomplished many goals in his life, he is extremely grateful for everyone who has helped him, and always lets us know that he loves us no matter how life turned out. We still wanted to keep him as healthy as possible so we continued with treatment. Months passed with positive signs that he would continue his life for many more years to come and he wanted to revisit the Philippines to share with his family there, his experiences in America. But unexpectedly came to a stop on March 11, 2023.

Our family is trying to navigate through this sudden and devastating loss by asking for any support via GoFundMe to raise funds for the unexpected funeral costs, cremation, and travel to the Philippines for his final resting place.
