Help take Jaime Ibarra's Art to Greener Pastures with a MAC
Donation protected
My name is Jaime Ibarra. I am a photographer, designer, Flamenco guitarist, and a creative/art director.
Life is being unkind, right now. A few days ago, the motherboard on my PC workstation computer died (along with the GPU, and several cards/RAM-modules that were attached to it...so, yeah...it's cooked), as I was working to complete several upcoming projects. I cannot say I'm surprised by its demise...I built this workstation in 2008, so, if nothing else, I'm impressed/surprised it lasted as long as it did. But I have finally decided to listen to the many people who have asked me "why aren't you using a MAC?"...so, I'm hoping to change this narrative, with your help. I need a computer that can handle all facets of what I do...I am a Flamenco guitarist/composer, currently recording 2 album projects...I am a photographer currently working on 2 published features, along with multiple other ambitious photography projects...along with Motion-Graphics, 3D Modeling, Video editing/production, and many other computer-intensive applications. MACs are made for artists...I've met enough MAC-happy artists to know this to a certainty. I am admittedly-late in jumping to the MAC side, and I am quite happy to do-so...but I require some help getting there. I am looking to get a refurbished MAC Studio from Apple's refurb shop, which will be about $2,000-$2.500
About me: I have been battling Multiple Sclerosis for many years. I am a disabled person who makes almost no money. I cannot work, as it is logistically not possible. I collect a small pittance of disability money each month. I seldom have money for most of the basic things we all need...food, utilities, and a host of other things. To put it bluntly, I am drowning, and I need your help.
This would be life-changing, if you are able to help. Saying "thank you" seems inadequate, but thank you for reading this...and please share!
