Hi, my name is Julia and I've set up this GoFundMe on behalf of my bestfriend, Jaime Sedore.

This past week, she was unexpectedly diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia (APL).

She is currently in Sunnybrook Hospital and will remain there for the next five weeks and will be going back and forth for the next 8 months. She has been receiving multiple blood transfusions each day for the past 5 days and has several blood clots throughout her body.

Throughout the next 9 months, she will be doing treatment for four week at the hospital, then four weeks at home and then back at the hospital for four weeks and so on. This has been very challenging for Jaime and her family as it was so sudden.

Jaime will be taking a leave from work while she navigates this, which means she will have no income to pay her bills, food, transportation, medications and any other expenses.

Any donations that are made, no matter the amount will be used to help Jaime during this difficult time and to help support her children while they navigate this. We will be providing updates as they come.
