Jaime's road to Recovery

As many of you may know Jaime DeAnda is a husband, father, brother and a friend. He is a Grammy nominated accordionist and frontman who has been entertaining his fans for more than 40 years. This is his livelihood. On December 21st 2021 Jaime had a medical emergency that got so bad it made it almost impossible for him to breathe. If I had waited any longer to take him to the ER he might not be here today. When the doctor finally saw him he said wow this is bad! Mrs. deanda we need to put a trachea down his throat if not he will die but even with the trachea there is a 50/50 chance he might not make it. Before I could even answer the doctor had the nurse wheel Jaime away and said we have to do this now we are just losing time. All I could keep telling Jaime was everything will be okay but deep down inside I was hysterical. They took him away from me and put me in a room alone not knowing if I would ever see the love of my life ever again. I just started to cry I was so scared, confused and not knowing what to do. After what seemed like the longest 10 minutes ever the doctor came into the room and said Mrs.DeAnda everything is going to be okay. He then took me to See Jaime, he was sedated but they said he could hear me. I told him I love you, I told you I wouldn't leave you and that I will always be by your side always. He was transported on an ambulance to Methodist hospital where he underwent a surgery that was needed that left him in ICU for about 3 days. Jaime will be going to physical therapy that will be an extra out of pocket expense. We are trying to raise funds to assist with  related to his medical care, recovery and make it easier for him to get back to living a full and active life.
