Thank you everyone for helping us hit our target for the costs related to the funeral. Because of the huge interest in Jai’s case I have raised the fundraising amount to help the family with any lawyers and court costs involved with the coronial inquest. All funds will go into pursuing the truth with what happened with Jai’s accident. The Wright family.

As you may be aware we lost our beautiful 16 year old boy Jai Kalani Wright on the 22nd of February.

Previously there have been fraudulent fundraisings set up that we as a family didn’t support and have been lucky enough to have shut down and all money returned to people that donated.

We the Wright family are starting this official Gofundme fundraiser to help with the costs for Jai’s funeral, headstone, coronial inquest process other related costs. This will allow the family to gain appropriate legal representation for Jai to fight the system and gain true justice.

Jai was lost tragically and unexpected and his death will be heading to a coronial inquiry which could well be a long journey. His death is considered as a ‘Black Death in Custody’.

Jai’s young age and loving personality endeared himself to a wide range of people from all backgrounds and all ages and we expect a huge turnout for his farewell.
