¡Hola! Soy Jaimar Tuárez. Te preguntarás quién soy y por qué estoy acá en busca de apoyo. Te cuento mi historia:
Soy estudiante de Psicología de la Universidad Central de Venezuela, a inicio de año estaba estudiando cerebros y a los meses siguientes mi vida daría un giro inesperado al ser diagnosticada con Esclerosis Múltiple, en donde mi sistema inmune lucha contra sí mismo y ataca mi cerebro.
Mis síntomas fueron hormigueos, parestesia, dificultad para caminar y hablar.
Desde el 2015 el IVSS no responde por esta enfermedad, hasta 2021, que los escasos medicamentos que hay, se han reportado con irregularidades tanto en la naturaleza como en en el suministro y abastecimiento de los mismos.
Han reportado medicamentos caducados y sólo apenas 3 opciones genéricas de las veintitantas aprobadas mundialmente-

En medio de la desesperación, me contacté con asociaciones fuera del país para pedir información. Una de ellas está dispuesta a brindarme apoyo y ayuda.
Tras consultarlo con la neuróloga me dio el SÍ, pero debo irme con algún acompañante, ya que si me da algún brote necesito a alguien a mi lado, teniendo en cuenta que mi último brote no me permitió caminar.
Esta soy yo, con una dosis de corticoides. Mi movilidad mejoró:
Los fondos recaudados serán para que junto a mi mamá, la persona encargada de cuidarme, pueda acceder a los tratamientos fuera del país.
Para ello ambas necesitamos:
– Pasaporte
– Boletos
– Viáticos (al menos para poder sustentarnos al llegar)
Actualmente mi diagnóstico es Esclerosis Múltiple Recurrente-Remitente, pero puede avanzar rápidamente a Secundaria Progresiva si no accedo a un tratamiento que evite las recaídas y retrase el avance de la enfermedad.

Hi! I'm Jaimar Tuarez. You may be wondering who I am and why I'm here looking for support. I'll tell you my story:
I'm a Psychology student at the Central University of Venezuela, at the beginning of the year I was studying brains and in the following months my life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, where my immune system fights against itself and attacks my brain.
My symptoms were tingling, paresthesia, difficulty walking and talking.
Since 2015, the IVSS has not responded to this disease. It was not until 2021 that the few available medicines were reported with irregularities in both their nature and supply.
They have reported expired medicines and only 3 generic options out of the twenty-three approved worldwide.
In desperation, I contacted associations outside the country to ask for information. One of them is willing to give me support and help.
After consulting with the neurologist, she gave me a YES, but I must go with someone to accompany me, because if I have an outbreak I need someone by my side, bearing in mind that my last outbreak did not allow me to walk.
The funds raised will be so that together with my mum, the person in charge of looking after me, can move so I can receive my treatments.
For this we both need
- Passport
- Tickets
- Per diems (at least to be able to support us when we arrive).
Currently my diagnosis is Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis, but it can quickly progress to Secondary Progressive if I don't access treatment that prevents relapses and slows down the progression of the disease.
