Jaga Alam - Waak over de natuur

Hallo allemaal,

Jaga Alam, vrij vertaald betekent dit in het Nederlands waken over de natuur.

Mijn naam is Julinara Labage. Ik loop van 16 tot en met 19 juli mee met de Nijmeegse Vierdaagse. Dit doe ik in het bijzonder voor Miadodara Pulau Rao, een initiatief dat zich inzet voor educatie en bewustwording onder de jeugd met betrekking tot het bewaken van onze natuur op Pulau Rao (Morotai, Noord Molukken).

Zoals op vele andere plekken op de wereld is er ook op het eiland Rao steeds meer vervuiling van de natuur. Miadodara Pulau Rao is op dit moment actief in het dorp Posi-Posi Rao en geeft één keer in de twee maanden les op de basisscholen in het dorp. Om de leerlingen goed te kunnen onderwijzen hebben zij lesmateriaal nodig.

Het team bestaat uit een aantal jongeren die dit werk geheel op vrijwillige basis doen. Door middel van uw donatie helpt u de jeugd kennis op te doen om uiteindelijk samen met de rest van de bevolking te zorgen voor een beter milieu en een veilige leefomgeving.

 Jaga Alam, freely translated in Dutch, means watching over nature. 

 My name is Julinara Labage. I will be participating in the Nijmegen Four-Day March from July 16 to 19. I do this in particular for Miadodara Pulau Rao, an initiative that is committed to education and awareness among youth with regard to safeguarding our nature on Pulau Rao (Morotai, North Moluccas). 

 Like many other places in the world, there is increasing pollution of nature on Rao Island. Miadodara Pulau Rao is currently active in the village of Posi-Posi Rao and teaches at the primary schools in the village once every two months. In order to teach students well, they need teaching materials. 

 The team consists of a number of young people who do this work entirely on a voluntary basis. Through your donation you help young people gain knowledge so that they can ultimately work with the rest of the population to ensure a better and a safe living environment.
