To Help With Final Funeral Expenses

Hello, my name is Gloria Vick Young. I am reaching out to anyone who may know my sister-in-law, Debbie Deans Vick. If there is anyone that knows her either by when she was employed with Siemens in Wendell, NC, attended Social Plains Baptist Church in Zebulon, NC or any acquaintances or friends of hers. This is to let you know that after 24 years as a quadriplegia in a nursing facility Debbie passed away peacefully on 11/4/23. For the last 18 years her residence has been the Laurels of Chatham in Pittsboro, NC. Debbie has had many trials with been paralyzed but she always fought and came through them. Her body started to deteriorate the last couple of years. The amazing thing about Debbie was her mind. I always told her she had an encyclopedia mind. She would remember everything about herself and her care. She was her own strongest advocate. She would always ask why she was still here on earth but was always told God knew the reason if just for her beautiful smile toward others or to talk with others who needed someone. Another amazing thing during her time in the facility is that she was able to take the funds from her disability due to the auto accident and make her pre-planned funeral arrangements. She was praying that she would get what she needed to have it completely paid for before she passed but was not able to quite make it.

This is why I and her family wanted to create a GoFundMe Page for her. She needs $5500 to be able to have her funeral paid for in full.

So, if there is anyone who knew her or her family, would like to help, it will be very much appreciated. It would be an answer to Debbie's prayer. The funds collected will go to her daughter, Timberly Vick Cohn, who will in turn pay the funeral home.
