Jaeger’s Medical Journey

October 11, 2023 my then 3 year and 4 month old grandson Jaeger was diagnosed with a brain tumor in his right frontal lobe.

October 16th, 2023 a 4 1/2 hour surgery, a right frontal craniotomy, was performed at BC Children's Hospital.

His neurosurgeon was confident that he was able to remove the entire tumor. He was put on anti-seizure medication and sent home to recover. We thought we was doing reasonably well and could see no lingering deficits from the surgery or the seizures that lead to the diagnosis.

In mid-February 2024 he had a follow-up MRI at Children's and the news received this past week is not what we hoped for. There is a new tumor is the same location. Further testing with more MRIs, EEGs, and an Oncology consult are upcoming to determine a new treatment plan.

Expenses continue to come up. Your help to make this journey lighter would be greatly appreciated by my entire family.
