Hi, my name is Lisa and I am Kim's sister and Jaedyn's auntie. About 2 months ago, Jaedyn woke up as she would on a normal Monday, went to school and volleyball practice, and came home when my sister noticed a lump on her neck. After tons of doctor appointments, scans, labs, tests, misdiagnoses, and multiple "I don't know's" and "could be's," Kim (and Jaedyn) got a diagnosis. Although not as bad as some of the "could be's," Jaedyn was diagnosed with a congenital birth defect or malformation called a lymphatic malformation. Jaedyn is set to have surgery on 11/26/25 for this. Prior to that, she still has a few tests and scans that will be done over the next month.

My sister is a single mom and I am setting this up to help relieve some of the financial burden this unexpected medical expense has caused. Kim does have medical insurance; however, it has a hefty deductible and out-of-pocket maximum she has to meet and pay. Kim is blessed with a job that supports her in the work-life balance and having to step away for appointments and to be with Jaedyn during the procedure(s).
