Hi my name is Erica Halcomb and I am raising money for my best friend, Jaeda Cannizzaro. Before I start, I would like to tell you who Jaeda is. Jaeda is a mother, wife, sister, daughter and friend. Jaeda is the person who will help anyone, whether it is a friend or stranger. Her compassion for helping others is what has made her a great cop for the last 11 years. While her first love is her family and being a mother to 4 wonderful children, she would also say she loves being outdoors and all of her pets. She is funny, beautiful and always up for an adventure! Now that you know her as a person, here is her journey!

Jaeda has been in an ongoing health battle for the last few years. She has only recently been diagnosed with Addison's disease, Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS), Raynaud's disease and Epilepsy. Right now, her biggest battle is Epilepsy which she was diagnosed with last September. After many doctor visits and tests, they found that Jaeda has a fold in her brain. This is the area that is causing the seizures and, unfortunately, not allowing medication to help any longer. She will be admitted to the Swedish Medical Center on September 6th for approximately a month. They will be doing further testing and then brain surgery. From there she will have a long road of recovery because at this stage, they do not know how much they will have to do during the surgery.

As you can imagine between the doctor visits, medication and hospital visits, bills are mounting high! She has been to Denver twice and Arizona twice for hospital visits just within the last year. She has no longer been able to work as a Deputy Marshall since April. While her husband, Jeff, is still working as a County Sherriff, his long hours and crazy schedule has also caused him to miss some work to help her when needed.

We are asking for any and all help from our community now. The community that Jaeda has lived her whole life in and has served it well for many years as a public servant. All money raised will not only cover current and future medical bills, but also help with any travel expenses Jaeda and her family will incur going to and from Denver.
