Our hearts are heavy as we share Jaecy’s story. What started as an injury at work turned into every family’s worst nightmare. An infection formed in her leg, creating an abscess that spread into her bloodstream and caused sepsis. Jaecy was rushed into emergency surgery to save her life, and she now faces a second surgery as doctors work desperately to remove the remaining infection and give her body a chance to heal.

Jaecy is a fighter in every sense of the word. She has endured unimaginable pain and fear, yet she continues to push forward with strength, faith, and courage. Right now, we are praying that her body accepts the surgeries and antibiotics and that the infection is fully cleared so she can come home to the little girl who needs her.

Jaecy is a single mother to a beautiful 2 year old daughter her whole world. She works full-time and attends college fulltime, doing everything she can to build a better life for her child. In an instant, that stability was taken away. Because of this life-threatening injury, she will be unable to work for an extended period of time, leaving her facing overwhelming financial stress on top of the fight of her life.

While Jaecy focuses on surviving, healing, and coming back to her daughter, we are asking for help to support her and her child with basic living needs rent, utilities, car payments and insurance, phone, daycare, and the growing medical expenses related to this devastating injury she sustained while helping a student.
