Jadyn Simpson’s Memorial Fund

On Sunday, July 10th, Jadyn Rose Simpson was involved in a fatal car wreck that tragically took her life, leaving those of us who loved her most devastated. Jadyn’s mother, Holly and ten year old younger sister Leigha were treated for minor physical injuries, but the emotional scars will be with these two for a lifetime. As you can only imagine, this entire family is shattered by the unfathomable loss of a child, sister and best friend.

At just 14 years old, Jadyn was beginning to grasp who she was as a person, and it was incredible to watch it unfold. Realizing the meaning of true friendships, the importance of family, being an advocate, and finding her voice to stand up to and for others were all things Jadyn had just discovered within this last year. And although a bit nervous, she was eager to start high school in the fall and see what all life had in store for her. Jadyn Rose was full of life, compassion and kindness. She was a beautiful child and she will be greatly missed by all of those who knew her.

The Latta family is that one family that all of us can always count on. Whether it’s picking up our kids from school, coaching soccer, babysitting, feeding our pets while out of town or watering our plants, or showing up for events, no matter what they are always there with their hearts of gold. Now it's our turn to show them the love and kindness they always show all of us.

Please help in whatever way you can; even if it’s only a small amount in your eyes, every little bit adds up. There is certain to be mounds of medical bills, funeral and service expenses, this family will need time away from work to grieve and heal. Hopefully, our collective contributions can help ease the financial strain the Latta family will soon face.

Jadyn Rose Simpson’s visitation for family, friends, and anyone who loves our baby will be held Thursday, July 14th from 6-8pm at McLaurin Funeral home at 12380 US 70 business HWY W, Clayton NC

Her celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 15th from 3-5 pm at the Clayton Center at 111 E 2nd St, Clayton, NC.

For Jadyn’s celebration of life, we ask that everyone dress casually and that Jadyn’s classmates and friends (or anyone that wants to) wear a hoodie as that was her favorite article of clothing.
