PLEASE HELP ME GET A PLACE FOR MY KIDS AND I.

Hi I am Jade and I am 29 years old. I have been practically homeless for 2 years now with my 1 year old daughter Jessica.

My divorce was expensive and messy. I am tired of struggling with really bad depression due to my situation. Crying non stop sure to stress and bills piling up constantly.

On February 3rd, 2023, my husband decided to leave me after almost 10 years of marriage. My whole life instantly changed; he immediately kicked me out of the house with no where to go and took all my kids from me. I was lucky enough that my mother housed me and paid for a lawyer; otherwise, I would have lost them completely. The older 4 Javier, Jasmine, Joshua, and Jayden live with their dad, and I pay a large amount of child support monthly because of it. Once I am able to find and afford a place, I will be able to have them 50% of the time. Right now, I just don't have anywhere they can sleep, so I barely see them. The baby Jessica lives with me; her dad wanted nothing to do with her until there was a DNA test performed. I have raised her alone. I have been sleeping on a couch at my Grandmother's and Mom's house here and there since we split up, and it's not the life my kids deserve. All our stuff is put up in storage. My ex-husband was in the service for 8 years, so he supported me while I stayed home with the kids. I had no savings when we split up. Nothing to my name; he had everything in his. I bought a car last year because he took the 2 we had used during our marriage, so that put me in more debt than I already am. I have been slowly paying off credit cards to increase my credit, but all I want is a small apartment/town house so I can give them a home to live with me. I have applied to many section 8 waiting list but the list doesn't seem to be going down at all due to so many people needing assistance. Rent now adays seems nearly impossible.

I currently work two jobs now, trying to find a third, and still can't afford a place now. I am paying $170 every Monday just to put my baby in daycare so I can work.

I have recently enrolled into college to better my life.
