Jade's Chiari Malformation Recovery

My name is Jade Chaput, and I am raising money to help alleviate the financial stress while I am recovering from brain surgery needed to open up cerebral spinal fluid flow that has been blocked due to Chiari Malformation I.

Chiari Malformation is a Rare Condition for which there is no cure. The toll it has taken on my life over the last few years is beyond measure. I haven't been able to work for 3 years. I suffer daily pain, balance issues, and headaches that nearly cripple me and make it impossible for me to drive myself anywhere. That makes me dependent on someone else to take me to the many appointments I've had to go to while finding the answers to what I've been struggling with. Most of my doctors and specialists are in Kansas City, which is 3 and a half hours away from home, and that travel has put a lot of strain on the vehicle we have.

Along with attending multitudes of doctor appointments, I have been fighting for disability benefits. I have been diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, pelvic and femoral anteversion, osteoarthritis, neuropathy, chronic migraines, fibromyalgia, vertebral hemangioma, and a brain aneurysm. Both of my hips need to be replaced due to a lack of cartilage, but that cannot be done until I am cleared from neurosurgery. Social Security has not approved my claim and life isn't getting any easier. I won't be going back to work for a while, and my bills are already overwhelming.
