Jaden's Band D-Day Travel to Normandy France

Hi, my Name is Jaden Talley. I am part of Dutchtown High School Marching Band in Hampton, Georgia. I have been in band since 6th grade but my interest in percussion started when I was just 3 years old. I am currently a member of the Marching Band and I play the bass and snare drum. Since having the gift of playing, I have enjoyed hearing and relating to music and the power and rhythm of the percussion section.

My band was chosen to travel to Normandy, France for the 80th D-Day Anniversary of World War II. We will be marching in a parade honoring this historic day and time in the town of Sainte-Mere-Eglise (the first town liberated by American paratroopers on D-Day). Our band program has been chosen to represent the State of Georgia and the United States of America as a participant in the D-Day Memorial and Veterans’ Day Parade in June of 2023 and I am so excited to be a part.
