Hi, My name is Jada Sanford and I’m a dancer at School of the Arts at Central Gwinnett. I’ve been dancing for 8 years now starting out as a competitive dancer and then moving on to pre-pro level training in codified techniques. My end goal is to be able to pursue dance professionally. A couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to audition for Alvin Aileys 5-week summer intensive. Following the audition I was accepted into the program!! Summer intensives are very important to dancers as it helps with exsposure and keeps up their technical training so they’re stronger for the next season. With next year being my senior year in highschool, I will be applying to programs for college next school year which is why this summer is really important for me. Any donation that is made no mattter how small or how big would be greatly appreciated as it will help me to be able to attend this amazing opportunity.
