Jada Carvery,

loved deeply by her family and friends, passed away tragically the morning of May 24th, 2024, as a passenger in a motor vehicle accident.

Jada has faced many hardships and obstacles throughout her short life, but even when she was struggling the most, she opened her huge heart to her friends, family, and even strangers in need. Beautiful inside and out, Jada was known for always putting others’ needs ahead of her own, showing her love and appreciation through spontaneous gift giving, and making her loved ones laugh as often as she could. Jada was fiercely intelligent and expressed herself beautifully in writing.

She loved playing guitar, singing, spending time with friends and family, and passionately advocating to reform the child welfare system in Nova Scotia. She always made sure that her friends and family, especially her four-year-old son, Kayleo, were loved and knew how much she loved them.

Above everything else, her biggest joy in life was being a mom. Jada’s love for Kayleo was boundless and she was working hard to be the best, bravest, strongest version of herself for him. She will live on through him and in his beautiful eyes. From the beginning to the end of her life, Jada experienced many challenges and barriers to meeting her goals. She wanted so much better for Kayleo and dreamt of him having a beautiful, happy and successful life. Fortunately, Kayleo is deeply loved by his wonderful Aunt Madison Carvery. Maddy has taken Kayleo in and is raising him like her own. Maddy and Jada share a dream of sending Leo to University. To make this happen, we are raising funds for Kayleo’s future education in memory of Jada. our goal is to elimate as many obstacles as possible to make her dream come true. If he can afford to pursue college or university someday, he will have more opportunities than Jada ever had.
