On April 4, 2024, Jacqulea Anderson, (an NC State alum and recent Illinois State University graduate), had her car repossessed.

Jacqulea has hustled endlessly since 2020 to not only obtain her master's degree, but also earn a living as well. Since graduating in 2022, she's has been hit with a barrage of bad luck. Being forced to move back to North Carolina due to her financial situation, she has been on the job hunt for two years. Her and her cat, Superior, have been homeless for the same amount of time, getting by with the help of friends and couch hopping from home to home. She has done her best by working part time jobs to make money, but as you all know, this economy is insane and it hasn't been enough. Now that her car's been taken (and she's being displaced out of yet another home again), she has no way to make money and no way to move her things out of the place she's currently staying in. She's on her last leg and desperately needs help.

Jacqulea needs $3,200 by April 15 in order to get her car back before they auction it off. This includes not only the past due amount, but an insanely predatory repossession fee that they're making her pay as well. I'm asking on behalf of everyone who has it in their heart to help someone who just needs to catch a break. Whatever you can donate, no matter how small, can help Jacqulea get back on her feet.
