Jacquie Hamblin Medical Support

Hi, my name is Christina and I am Jacquie's sister.

As most of you know may know from family, friends, or following along on Jaquie's CaringBridge page, on October 28, 2022, Jacquie (38) suffered multiple strokes and then one massive stroke which kept her in the ICU for 5 weeks while intubated and in a coma. Jacquie was able to successfully transition to a trach where she was then moved to a specialty facility on December 5, 2022.

Jacquie is making weekly and daily progress with the weaning of her trach. Although she is still not able to open her eyes or speak yet, she can respond to questions and comments with slow, steady blinks. Jacquie also receives multiple therapies each day including physical, occupational, pet, restorative, and musical. Even with all her progress, we have found out from the facility that insurance is requesting she is moved to a nursing home. Zach (husband) and Judy (mother) have explored options and believe the Brain Cognitive Therapy Program at the University of Utah will suit her best. They have submitted a request for Jacquie to be accepted and are waiting to hear back.

During all of this, the medical bills have started coming in and they will continue to come. With that said, I wanted to start a crowdfunding campaign to help with Jacquie's current and anticipated medical expenses.

I hope with your help we can lessen the financial stress they will face and allow them to focus on Jacquie, her two children, Raegan (14) and Teague (13) along with Zach and his two daughters Maddie and Cameron. We all remain positive and hopeful for Jacquie's full recovery and cannot thank you enough for your support.
