On June 24th 2019, I suffered a C1 Spinal Cord Injury during rehearsal for a musical I was working on. The severe impact to my vertebrae compressed my spine and left me instantly paralyzed from the neck down. After a couple of surgeries and time in the ICU I was fortunate enough to spend the last few months at Spaulding Rehab in Charlestown where I made significant gains in my recovery. However I’ve been home for about two weeks now and haven’t been able to continue the therapy that is necessary for me to get back on my feet. The next step for me is to attend Journey Forward, an intensive rehab center where I can continue physical and occupational therapy so that I can relearn how to walk and live on my own again. As you can imagine, this is in no way affordable for me on my own and insurance will not cover the costs. This program is $100/hr, so I’m asking for you all to please please donate and share so that I can spend the next year getting my strength back. It’s with your help that I will be back doing what I love the most.
