Some people may already be aware but may not. My aunt Cindy and Uncle Jacques have been hit with some horrible news over the last 4 months.
Their nightmare began on May 26th 2022. Jack was driving a B-Train Transport carrying a load to Sault Ste. Marie when their nightmare began. Jack started to feel a heavy pain in his chest. He managed to pull over and call 911. After several hours of tests and scans they were told that he had suffered a Mini-Stroke.
June 1st their world crashed down upon them. They were told that the scans had shown that Jacques has a mass on his upper Right Lung. It was Cancer. What was to follow was an exhausting 2 months of endless CT Scans, MRI's, X-Rays and Blood Draws.
They were told that Jacques had Stage 3 Lung Cancer. Things got worse when less than a month later, it was now Stage 4 that had gone to his Lymph Nodes, Brain and Left Lung as well.
On Aug 17th after starting radiation, Jacques fell outside of the Cancer Center and fractured his Right Hip and Femur requiring Surgery the following evening. He remained in Hospital for 2 weeks. Luckily, Sept 21st was his last day of Radiation on Lungs and Lymph Nodes.
On Sept 23rd they learned that the Brain Cancer has grown and now requires Radiation Treatments as well. He is due to start Immuno-Therapy in the next 2 weeks.
I am setting up this go fund me to raise some money for Jacques and Cindy to help offset the numerous expenses that they have incurred during this journey and will continue to incur over the next several months.
Jacque requires a Hospital bed & mattress in order to sleep which is a monthly rental
They need to purchase a wheelchair due to balance issues causing constant falls.
Additionally, they have Vehicle repairs, maintenance, hospital parking fees, gas costs they need to cover to get him to his treatment.
They are currently looking for a new apartment that will be more accessible for him while he is going through this horrible time and require help with 1st & last month rent plus moving expenses to a wheelchair accessible apartment.
They are planning on setting up Cremation and Funeral costs (pre-payments) as they know this is a potential outcome of the diagnosis.
Jacques has been on EI since June (soon to run out), and Cindy has yet to receive her EI and has been off work since the start of August.
If you could please take the time and click the share button it would be greatly appreciated.
Jacques and Cindy truly appreciate all the support from everyone.
