Peace and blessings be upon you and yours.
Many of you know me as a wife, a proud grandmother, an entrepreneur, and someone who has always been committed to serving others, loving on your children, and contributing to the community—without expectations.
On March 28th, 2025, the world as it was known to us (Anthony and I) changed! I was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer—a moment that transformed not only our lives, but also my own mindset, daily interactions, the hearts and understanding of my loved ones.
Intentional movements have never spoken so loudly, until now!
I underwent a lumpectomy on September 16th, 2025, and am currently in the recovery phase. Unfortunately, my medical team recently found positive margins during pathology testing, which means I will be having a second surgery before beginning radiation treatments.
Because of my treatment and recovery schedule, I am currently unable to serve clients or maintain operations at Rychez Rootz, the business I love so deeply. I am beyond thankful to everyone who has ever invested in and supported the vision of Rychez Rootz, The Blaque Shop Apothecary, DJ Urban Mello, and Melanated Market Place—especially my incredible business partners- My Family and My Clients.
The costs associated with treatment, recovery, and lost income have created an economic strain—medical bills, ongoing household expenses, and business commitments—as we worked to meet our medical deductible, which has been met, We are still working to manage the medical bills incurred before it was reached.
I am humbly asking for your support during this time through a Free-Will Offering Request. Any contribution—large or small—will make a meaningful difference and help relieve financial stress so my family and I can focus fully on healing.
This journey is not only about physical healing, but also about mental and spiritual restoration. It has tested me in many ways, but I continue to face it with faith, clean and healthy living, resilience, and the unwavering support of my family and community.
The contributions will also help with my quest to Honduras to stay 2 weeks at Dr Sebi Usha Village for extensive spiritual & physical healing as soon as March 2026.
I plan to return to work part-time in mid-December, with hopes to be fully back at Rychez Rootz by January 2026.
From the entirety of my heart, thank you for your prayers, encouragement, generosity, and for aiding in this healing journey. Your kindness means the world to me and my family—especially during such a challenging time for so many of us across the world.
