Jacobson Family Fire
Donation protected
My name is Amy Eckert and my friend and co-worker Leslie Jacobson and her family needs our help. On Sunday September 10th the Jacobson household was devastated by a fire that began in the kitchen exhaust. Flames ripped through the kitchen and spread heavy, damaging smoke through the entire first floor, everything was left unsalvageable. However, despite the devastation, all family members were able to safely leave the building, fur babies included. They've been displaced, living out of hotel rooms while they wait for word on the status of their house.
Contractors and insurance are involved, but aren't going to cover the enormous costs of repairing the main floor of their home. They have lost their kitchen, dining room, living room, foyer, and everything within those rooms.
The family has served the community for 19 years within the school district and community at large. All of the family members have been ingrained in the community for 22 years Leslie works for the Pleasant Valley School District and Paul Jacobson works for First Student, the bussing company for the School District and both have worked while trying to organize and fight to rebuild their family home. They have two children who have gone through the Pleasant Valley School District and two dogs. Now they are asking for help with heavy hearts. They're trying to get funds together in order to begin rebuilding before the onset of winter.
The family is exceptionally grateful for any and all help during this trying time as they try to get back on their feet.
