Jacob's Canadian Adventure

Hi, my name is Jacob Shachter.  I was nominated to participate in this program where you get to travel around the world. I will be leaving for Western Canada in the summer of 2015 with 40 other students from Ohio. This is very important to me because this could be a once in a lifetime chance for me. I will be learning history, science and about the government all without even realizing it. This is a chance to learn about another culture and give back with a service project. I think that spending more than a week away from my family and home will teach me responsibility, maturity and confidence.
