Our son Jacob is a wonderful 7 year old, that just want to live a normal life .. his favorite things to do is sports, games & EATING ! he loves to go out and eat ! But with his health issue we can’t ..due to people always staring as he throws up , which upsets him because not everyone knows what’s wrong with him

For those who know or don’t know, Jacob’s been dealing with a serious health issues ..thanks CHOP Medical center & their amazing team they were able to figure out what is wrong with him .. at first he was diagnosed with bulimia but with deeper research we was able to see that it’s Achalasia..which caused him to lose 15 pounds in 1 month

A rare disorder making it difficult for food and liquid to pass into the stomach.

Achalasia results from damage to nerves in the food tube (esophagus), preventing the esophagus from squeezing food into the stomach. It may be caused by an abnormal immune system response…

Symptoms include a backflow of food in the throat (regurgitation), chest pain, and weight loss

Jacob has his appointment scheduled for surgery to help him get better ..this Friday aug 6,2021 due to Jacob being a outpatient care we don’t know when appointments occur until 2 days before

However Jacob’s health insurance does not cover all medical costs . Any thing can help please and thank you !
