Jacobs Eye Dr Appointments
At 21 years old Jacob has been diagnosed with Glaucoma. Jacob does not have insurance, neither do Jackie or my self. We are paying cash for Dr visits and testing. Jacob must have the pressure in his eyes tested weekly at this point. He needs surgery. Due to my new job at a non-profit homeless ministry we do not have any room in our budget. So what is our plan??
- Pray for complete healing
- Control pressure with eye drops and weekly visits/tests
-Jacob has applied for Harris County Gold Card for free health care through the Ben Taub system in Houston. 4-6 weeks before we hear yay or nay
-God willing Jacob should start a new job this week(He still has a blur spot in his right eye, good eye, how ever he is driving...) with new job comes med insurance in 60 to 90 days.
-Once we have insurance we will get second opinion and then surgery if needed.
in the mean time we must continue to pay cash to keep eye pressure down to minimize the risk of any more permanent damage.
A friend started another crowd funding on FB and it covered the first 2 appointments, however it is very slow to pay so I started this torelieve the pressure from my friend John.
